We were contacted by the owners of this property as, although the general decor was in good order, It had been several years since the most recently decorated room was done. It was therefore felt that the much of the house should undergo a period of redesign and decoration.
Pictured below are the series of mood boards that were created following consultation with the client. It was suggested that consideration be given to an oriental feel along with an emphasis on creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
One of the requirements was for the living room and adjoining conservatory to have a consistency so complementary elements such as wallpapers, fabrics and accessories were selected. This allowed the two separate spaces to have a coherence and flow.
The dining room already had some oriental elements, the furniture and some decorative pieces remain unchanged but new colours, wallpaper and a statement window dressing featuring a statement Chinese inspired pelmet all strengthen and re-emphasise the feel of the orient.
The fitted furniture in the master bedroom remained in place during the redesign but much of this room has received a far eastern makeover by using wallpapers, installing new window dressings, and new bedding. A new carpet has also been fitted.
