DJK Interiors were asked to produce a scheme to overhaul this living and dining space for a client. The brief was to create a simple skandinavian influenced look punctuated with quirky elements. One of the main requirements was the need for a simple storage system in the living room. With this in mind, we created a bespoke, floating system based around two offset storage blocks to fit snugly underneath the newly installed fire with the raised block on the left side to house the TV. To finish, LED lighting was fitted underneath the storage. Incorporated into the mood board were some CG mock ups to demonstrate to the client what the new storage system would look like. Then when all was approved we moved to implementation. New Karndean flooring was fitted thoughout the two spaces to unify them and both were redecorated using the same neutral pallete. Finally the space was dressed with new lighting and furniture. Following the success of this project we were also asked to refurb the hallway in the same property using a similar style to the living / dining space, the results of which are also pictured here.
